A South African national retailer was faced with a set of unique challenges when COVID-19 hit: some employees were not able to work during lockdown, while others were considered essential workers and were on the frontline. The challenge was two-fold: fostering a sense of connection for those at home, and providing vital safety information and training to those in-store.
